Most veterinarians are Full Members and are entitled to all benefits of membership, vote at annual and special meetings, and are eligible for elected office. All MVMA members are veterinary school graduates of "good moral character."
Fees: $225 ($245 after January 1)
Associate Member

Associate Members are graduates of a school of veterinary medicine who:
- become disengaged from all types of veterinary employment (retired or career change);
- or reside and work out of state for at least six consecutive months or more of an annual membership period;
- or are interns, residents or instructors of veterinary medicine or of the sciences allied to veterinary medicine.
Associate Members shall enjoy all the rights and privileges as Full Members including the right to vote but cannot hold office.
Fees: $115 ($135 after January 1)
New Graduate

You are eligible for New Graduate membership for the first 18 months after you graduate from an accredited Veterinary Medical Program, and are licensed to practice veterinary medicine. New Graduate members shall enjoy all the rights and privileges as Full Members.

Student

Veterinary students are eligible to become members of MVMA. Students receive all Full Member benefits, however, they do not have association voting rights and cannot hold office.
MVMA offers discounted registration for students who wish to attend our CE Conferences and other programs. Student members are invited to participate in committee activities. Upon graduation, a student member automatically becomes a New Graduate Member (state licensure is required to become a New Graduate member).
