This lecture will provide case examples to help look at the thorax of small animals and break down pulmonary disease into 5 differential diagnoses.  Also how to address a case of pleural fluid and tips and tricks to looking at the heart.  The abdomen will focus on how to determine if something is surgical or medical and some key points of peritoneal and retroperitoneal disease.

Anthony Pease DVM, MS, DACVR

Dr. Pease went to veterinary school at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. He then completed an equine internship at the Marion DuPont Scott Equine Medical Center in Virginia in 2000 and a small animal internship at Affiliated Veterinary Specialists in Florida in 2001. At these institutions, he developed an interest in diagnostic imaging. He completed a radiology residency at Cornell University and is board certified by the American College of Veterinary Radiology in 2005. He served as an assistant professor at North Carolina State University and a tenured Associate Professor and head of Diagnostic Imaging at Michigan State University.  Dr. Pease served as the President of the American College of Veterinary Radiology.  He currently lives in Las Vegas, NV and is the Chief Veterinary Medical Officer for the Viticus Group (formerly known as Western Veterinary Conference or WVC) in Las Vegas and opening a location in Nashville, TN in 2026.  Dr. Pease lectures extensively on diagnostic imaging in small and large animal as well as supervising hands-on laboratories on small animal and equine imaging.
